The development history and manufacturing level of insulators

Before 2001, the company mainly manufactured insulators with mechanical strength grades of 160kN and below. Around 2001, it successfully developed 300-530kN AC and DC insulators. After 2004, it has formed a series of products with AC 70-530kN and DC 160-530kN. 2.1 Suspension porcelain insulator

Before 2001, the company mainly manufactured insulators with mechanical strength grades of 160kN and below. Around 2001, it successfully developed 300-530kN AC and DC insulators. After 2004, it has formed a series of products with AC 70-530kN and DC 160-530kN. In addition to the standard ordinary umbrella shape, straw hat shape, bell shape and deep prism shape, it also has double umbrella shape and triple umbrella shape, and its manufacturing technology level has reached the international level.

2.2 Suspension glass insulator

Before 2003, the company mainly manufactured insulators with mechanical strength grades of 160kN and below. From 2005 to 2009, it successfully developed 400kN and 530kN AC and DC insulators. In 2009, it had basically formed a series of products with AC 70-530kN and DC 160-530kN. The AC products are mainly ordinary, bell-shaped, and standard large-diameter insulators, while the DC products are mainly bell-shaped and standard large-diameter insulators. Its manufacturing technology has reached international standards.

2.3 Suspension composite insulator

AC and DC composite insulators were put into operation in 1988 and 1995 respectively, and were put into mass use in 1995. Around 2001, the key manufacturing technologies such as the composite insulator shed and sheath forming process, end crimping process, end sealing technology and core rod were mature, and a large amount of successful operation experience was accumulated. After 2004, 300~530kN insulators were successfully developed. In 2007, a series of products of AC 10~1000kV and 70~530kN, DC ±500~±800kV and 160~530kN were formed. Its manufacturing technology level has reached the international level.

2.4 Post and hollow composite insulators

In the 1990s, the company mainly manufactured 110kV pillar and hollow composite insulators. In 2002, it successfully developed 220-500kV hollow composite insulators. In 2005, it successfully developed a series of AC 750-1000kV and DC ±500-±800kV pillar and hollow composite insulator products, which were used in AC and DC ultra-high voltage and ultra-high voltage transmission and transformation projects during the same period. The pillar composite insulator with a structural height of 12270mm, a rated bending load of 16kN, a rated torsion load of 12kN·m, and a maximum bending moment load of 196.32kN·m, and the hollow composite insulator with a structural height of 10800mm, a rated bending load of 45kN, and a maximum bending moment load of 486kN·m, represent the manufacturing level of my country. Chinese enterprises have successfully applied high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, an excellent external insulation material with more than 20 years of successful operation experience, to pillars and hollow composite insulators with large diameters and large structural heights. Its manufacturing technology is at the international level.

2.5 Support, hollow porcelain insulator and porcelain sleeve

my country began to produce 110kV hollow and pillar porcelain insulators and porcelain sleeves in 1936 and 1958, and then successfully developed the first generation of 35-330kV 110kV transformers, current transformers, voltage transformers, air circuit breakers, oil-less circuit breakers, 220kV air circuit breakers and 330kV transformers. Hollow porcelain insulators and porcelain sleeves. And AC 35-330kV, rated bending load 4kN outdoor pillar porcelain insulators. In particular, from 1978 to 1979, my country successfully developed 500kV pollution-resistant pillar porcelain insulators and 500kV double-pillar busbar pillar porcelain insulators for GN6-500 type disconnectors, marking a major step forward for my country's pillar porcelain insulators towards ultra-high voltage. From 1983 to 1995, my country was basically able to produce 4-12kN series of post porcelain insulators for 35-500kV busbars and disconnectors, including single-column, double-column and triangular cone structures, with creepage distance up to 3.5cm/kV. As well as series of hollow porcelain insulators and porcelain sleeves for SF6 circuit breakers, GIS tank circuit breakers, capacitive voltage transformers and SF6 current transformers. In 2000, 35kV DC post porcelain insulators were successfully developed. From 2003 to 2007, my country successfully developed 750kV and 1000kV post porcelain insulators and DC ±500kV and ±800kV post porcelain insulators. Among them, the manufacturing technology of AC and DC post porcelain insulators with a structural height of 10m, a rated bending failure load of not less than 16kN, and a torsional failure load of not less than 10.0kN·m is at the world level. However, up to now, my country's AC 500~1000kV and DC ±500kV~±800kV hollow porcelain insulators and bushings have not been fully domestically produced, and their manufacturing level is at the international advanced level.
